With Beach Tennis professionals André Baran and Vini Font
participating, the tournament is set to be a thrilling spectacle
Despite being a century-old and consolidated sport around the world, tennis still has a lot of room to grow in Brazil. KTO has plans to promote the rapidly-growing sport by supporting the 6th Dufrio Atlântida Open, now referred to as the “KTO Dufrio Atlântida Open”. The event will take place on February 26th and 27th, in Santa Cruz do Sul.
“Tennis and beach tennis arouse the interest of an audience that has everything to do with KTO. They are women and men who are passionate about sports and entertainment that do not give up including these activities in their routine. The highlight of this tournament brings two of the best players in the world, giving even more relevance to the event that is already a success in the region”, says Cassio Filter, country manager Brazil at KTO.
The highlight of the event will be the exhibition game with André Baran and Vini Font. The players occupy, respectively, the sixth and seventh places in the ranking of the International Tennis Federation. “It is the first time that they will be together here in Rio Grande do Sul, so we believe that the event will involve a lot of heated moments.”, says Tiago Spat, partner-owner of Ultra Beach Tennis Experience along with Felipe Wartchow and Rodrigo Nardi.
Alongside the support for Beach Tennis, KTO has also made its first steps in the popular Brazilian sport, Footvolley. The bookmaker has sponsored the Rei da Praia, a Footvolley tournament also based in Rio Grande do Sul. With 120 pairs participating, the tournament began at the start of February and is set to continue until November later this year.
